Summary:
In this role the supervisor will control the day-to-day happenings of the warehouse through both shipping and receiving.
The supervisor is also on the floor leading the team, evaluating performance, prioritizing and assigning workloads, actively implementing changes, and problem-solving with the teams and leadership to enhance and grow the warehouse.
The supervisor must be motivated and willing to look for improvement in all aspects of the warehouse and able to communicate well using visual aids along with computer-generated data to assist in the implementation of CI events or basic warehouse changes.
Essential Functions:
Lead, manage, and supervise warehouse team in an effective and efficient manner.
Interviews and recommends applicants for hire as warehouse and receiving associates.
Plans, organizes, and monitors receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and product to minimize loss; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving/shipping reports accurately report material received/shipped.
Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
Maintain warehouse to ensure safety of all team members, contractors, third party logistics in warehouse area; as well as the quality and security of product according to Noosa's safety procedures.
Trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
Ensures maintenance, cleanliness and good operating order/condition of equipment and warehouse in order to accomplish the functions of the warehouse in a safe, effective manner.
Ensures accuracy of records required for transportation of product.
Ability to work in a cold environment of 32 -40 F for up to 11 hours per day.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
This position manages all warehouse team employees, and manages third party logistics and vendors.
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise Education:
GED or High School diploma required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field of study strongly preferred.
Experience:
3 years previous experience in a supervisory role managing warehouse personnel required.
2 years previous experience with ERP/MRP strongly preferred; demonstrated expertise working with Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in the food industry or consumer packaged goods strongly preferred.
Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal.
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
Mathematical Skills:
General Mathematics; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Technical Skills:
Must be able to create documents, spreadsheets, and strong knowledge of specific programs (MS Office products, Excel, and ERP) Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Lifting - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling - Must be able to write, type, and use the phone system.
Environmental Conditions In the warehouse and production floor, the noise level is moderately loud and requires hearing protection made available to employees.
Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, head coverings, safety shoes, and company provided uniforms are required.
Other safety equipment such as fall protection harnesses are required as needed.
